Welcome to Cooler Concord

In 2017, Concord MA residents voted at their Town Meeting to commit to 80% emissions reduction from 2008 levels by 2050.  Achieving this goal will require residents, businesses and the municipality all to take significant steps toward greater efficiency and lower emissions.  Cooler Concord started as an initiative of the Town’s Sustainable Energy Committee (CSEC) to help residents reduce energy use and save money, beginning with the Cooler Concord Fair, and continuing with this website and rebates for many actions.

The Cooler Concord website and newsletter are currently maintained by Cooler Communities, an independent volunteer organization devoted to continuing emissions reduction in our town and replicating the Cooler Concord program in communities around the state.  Already there are two other programs: Cooler Berkshires and Cooler Agawam beginning in 2019.

Find out steps you can take to use less energy and save $$.
