Dr. Kirshen is a Professor of Climate Adaptation in the School for the Environment at University of Massachusetts Boston and Research Director of the Stone Living Lab. He has more than 40 years of research experience related to water resources and coastal zone management and climate variability and change. Since 1990, he has been a consultant to the City of Boston on the integrated vulnerability of the city to present and future climates and adaptation/management strategies. He also serves on the Climate Action Committee for the Town of Concord.
