Concord’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan was developed to help the Town reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience to climate change. Most actions under the this plan were intended for implementation between 2020 and 2025. This update provides an opportunity to evaluate progress, revise priorities, incorporate new technologies and best practices, and align local efforts with evolving state and regional initiatives. Importantly, this revision also provides us with the opportunity to evaluate our successes and shortcomings, challenges and opportunities, and ideas for how to be smarter and more effective over the next five years of climate efforts in town. Brad Dye and Brad Hubbard-Nelson from the Climate Action Committee will talk about how we’ve done over the last five years, brief ConcordCAN on draft actions for the new 5-year plan, and solicit your feedback. We will also invite you to participate at the next public workshop on the climate action and resilience plan, September 23, 7-8:30 PM at the Town House Hearing Room.
