DESCRIPTION:What do you do with a broken toaster? Or a bike with a flat tire? Toss it? No way! Save your broken household goods from the landfill by mending them with help from your neighbors. Makers of all ages welcome. \nHave Something In Need of Repair?\nIf possible\, register in advance for this event so we can provide information about your repair request to our volunteers ahead of time\, then drop-in any time during our repair café to attempt a repair with one of our coaches. Limit one reserved repair per attendee\, but you’re welcome to bring along additional items in case there’s extra time. \nWant to Help?\nAre you handy and have the skills and tools to repair broken electronics\, household appliances\, bikes\, small furniture\, mend clothes and more? Sign up on our volunteer repair coach form and join us for an afternoon of repairing broken items together!

SUMMARY:We're All Plastic People Now
DESCRIPTION:Join Oceana\, Mothers Out Front & Concord Library for a free screening of the new documentary We’re All Plastic People Now by Emmy award-winning filmmaker Rory Fielding about the global plastic pollution crisis featuring Oceana’s own Plastics Campaign Director Christy Leavitt and Oceana board member Ted Danson. The film shows the chilling reality of how pervasive plastic pollution is in our lives. Plastic is everywhere from the air we breathe to the water we drink.   \nSolving the plastic pollution crisis requires that we curb single-use plastic production and cut off the problem at the source. Reuse and refill systems can move us away from throwaway plastics.
